Pranayama is a component of yoga which help in maintaining our breath. The practice of Pranayama involves inhaling and exhaling of breath.

The goal of Pranayama is to connect your body with your mind. It also supplies oxygen to our body for well-functioning and provide physiological benefits.

Here are some of the importance of doing Pranayama daily:

Decreases stress and tension: Pranayama helps in reduction of stress level in adult as well as younger people. Pranayama also helps in calming the nervous system. Inhaling of oxygen help us in reducing anxiety and stress.

Improves sleep quality: If you do Pranayama daily it will also help you in getting proper sleep as it helps in stress relieving which result in making your body come and provide peace to your mind which is very important during sleep. Pranayama also decreases the snoring and day time sleep.

Reduce high blood pressure: High blood pressure also known as hypertension is a very common problem among the people today. Stress is one of the major risk factors for high blood pressure and doing pranayama help our body to reduce stress and calm our nervous system.

Improve lung function: Inhaling and exhaling help your lungs to get strength and also help the functioning of lungs to be proper. Also help the person suffering from asthma, pneumonia and tuberculosis.

Enhances brain function: Doing Pranayama daily not only make us physically strong but also support us mentally. Pranayama helps us in improving our working memory and reasoning skills.
