Many people do not consider wine healthy . But on the contrary wine do have certain health benefits . So let us see some benefits of it :

It helps in lowering bad cholesterol – red wine is known for lowering bad cholesterol and increases good cholesterol . Studies have shown that consuming 1 glass of wine for female and 2 glasses of wine for male is beneficial .

It keeps your heart healthy – not only it lowers your bad cholesterol but it also keeps your heart healthy too . There is a certain type of anti oxidant present in wine which keeps the blood vessels flexible .

It reduces the risk of cancer – when wine is consumed  regularly in a moderate amount it can reduce the risk of certain types of cancers such as breast cancer , colon cancer , prostate cancer .

It can also reduces the risk of depression – another benefit of wine is that it keeps you away from depression. Study has proven that people who consume a moderate amount of wine everyday are less likely to be depressed than who do not .

It also regulates blood sugar levels – drinking a moderate amount of wine helps in regulating blood sugar levels . Especially people who are suffering from type 2 diabetes, 1 glass of wine is considered good .

It also helps in treating cold – as wine is rich in antioxidants, it helps in treating common cold as it protects the cells against harmful effects of free radicals .

Though we saw that wine is good and also has certain health benefits but if you are suffering from any kind of health issue you should always consult your doctor before adding wine in your lifestyle . Also one should notice that excessive drinking is harmful for your health .
