Best time for mating dogs

In female dogs puberty generally comes at the age of 9 to 10 months. For small breads it come on 4 months and for large it for after 2 years. They go in to heat for mainly once in year mostly during the time of spring.

The heat cycle varies for all the different types of breads but if you seen it in an average then it is for mostly two to three weeks.

It is found that during the time of mating male dogs seems to be more stress sensitive than the female dogs. It is said that successful mating is done when the male dogs are present in their own environment and that is the reason mostly females goes in male environment for mating.

It is said that the time of mating is very critical and it’s recommended that the female dogs must get tested to known the correct day of breeding. It is found for female dogs the best time of breeding is between tenth to fourteenth days of estrus.

One can go for blood test or vaginal cytology to find the best time period of your dogs for mating. It is said it’s totally fine to arrange two matting which is called services for your dogs at an interval of 24 to 48 hrs.

 Dogs start their mating with initial phase of coitus and then shift to Tied phase of coitus. It is found that the female dogs became pregnant even without the tied phase. But once they start to go in tied phase then that will usually last for 5 to 10 minutes.

It is not important that all dogs mate it is just if you want your dog to reproduce that mating is the only way.
